From haematologyetc.co.uk

Summary
CD65 supports the identification of acute myeloid leukaemia with granulocytic maturation and may be used to support the identification of myeloid differentiation in mixed phenotype acute leukaemia MPAL

Diagnostic Use
  • This carbohydrate antigen has very simILar reactivity to CD15 and is expressed on the surface of maturing myeloid cells with highest expression on granulocytes and weaker expression on monocytes
  • CD65 is expressed on acute myeloid leukaemias with granulocytic maturation
  • During normal myelopoiesis the expression of CD65 follows the disappearance of the progenitor antigen CD33
